The Wire returns with season 4 on 9-10-2006. Season’s opener was entitled as ‘Boys of Summer’. The new fall school year approaches and the four West Baltimore teens get a summer education on the streets. Cracetti, who was planning to run for Mayor from the last season, continues his campaign. This season brings Prez preparing for his new profession as a teacher. Later on this season, Carcetti drops a bombshell on Royce during their televised debate. Cutty seems busy with his two jobs- landscaping and boxing mentor. Some of the major plot developments were: Carcetti visits Homicide Department; Michael’s father comes back; Carcetti handles a huge quandary. Season finale ‘Final Grades’ was aired on 12-10-2006. Season ends when Burrell is trying to help Daniels. Bubbles’ big plan leaves him in a very big trouble. New plans are being made by Omar whereas Colvin tries to find a solution for Namond. McNulty tries to pay his debt back.
