The Wire season 1 was premiered on 6-2-2002 with the episode entitled ‘The Target’. Season one begins dividing its attentions between cops and dealers by giving an objective overview of the Baltimore drug scene. After drug dealer D’Angelo beats a murder rap, Detective James McNulty vows never to let D’Angelo out of his sight, hoping that the criminal will lead him to an even bigger fish — namely, D’Angelo’s uncle, drug kingpin Avon Barksdale. Detective James McNulty’s efforts are complicated by a variety of things as such corruption and dissension within the police department. Meanwhile, Avon Barksdale and Stringer Bell are dealing with their own personal as well as professional problems. Season finale was aired on 9-8-2002 with the episode entitled ‘Sentencing’. Thought this season policemen as well as the criminals do their best to let the viewers tied with the series. On this season finale, McNulty, and others head to New Jersey to interview D’Angelo. Daniels and McNulty have to turn to a higher authority. In their new apartments, Brianna Barksdale joins her brother.
