We had a wondrous journey into Detective James “Jimmy” McNulty’s exciting past that lasted from 2002 to 2008.

We were smitten by his audacity, when it came to pulling the collars of those, who were embroiled in some or the other malfeasance.

That explains to a large extent, why we would often go for The Wire download and catch up with the star Dominic West’s almost blemish-free performance.

All the actors hailing from the small screen need to watch out for Dominic West henceforth, as he rocked it with his stage performance recently in a play belonging to the aegis of none other than Shakespeare!

It was Othello that was being staged at The Crucible in Sheffield, and Dominic portrayed the part of vicious Iago, who allows all hell to break loose with his series of machinations!

While his co-actor from the crime drama, Clarke Peters donned the act of the protagonist, it was Mr. West, who stole the show.

An important thing worth noting was the fact that Dominic had opted to go with the Yorkshire accent, which the actor exclaims he took up owing to his comfort level with the same.

With praise pouring in from various quarters and a notable newspaper proclaiming it as the night that belonged to Iago, it seems that the Yorkshire accent did act in favor of Dominic West.

Since Iago is associated with playing devil in the plot, all we can say that the part of antagonists is going too well for Dominic.

Right from playing a detective in the backdrop of mayhem at Baltimore to this stint on stage, Dominic West has surely come a long way.

Would be looking forward for some more stints on stage!
